Winchester, MA (February 13, 2020) — The Boston Imperials Hockey Academy has announced that Chris Dyment will be joining the Academy to serve as Skills Director for the Academy as well as serve as Assistant Coach for the U15 Boys Academy Team. Chris most recently served as Split Season Skills Director for the Imperials and will also hold that position for the upcoming season as well.
Club owner Dennis Franczak stated, "Chris is both an accomplished player and coach. He was a standout defenseman at Reading High School as well as at Boston University and that background will be invaluable in his ability to serve as a role model for the Academy players."
While at BU, Chris was named to both the NCAA All American and All Hockey East teams. Selected by the Montreal Canadians in the 4th round, he went on to play seven seasons of professional hockey in the AHL, including two years with the Providence Bruins.
Prior to joining the Boston Imperials, Chris was an NCAA Div 1 Assistant Coach, which included positions at Bentley University and Boston University. At the junior hockey level, Chris served as Assistant Coach of the Islanders Hockey Club NCDC team (USPHL) as well as the same role with the NH Jr. Monarchs (USPHL). A native of Reading, MA, Chris resides in Burlington with his wife and two children.
The Boston Imperials are a USA Hockey Sanctioned Hockey Club headquartered in Winchester, MA with a National Tier 1 Academy Program at Matignon High School as well as fall Tier 1 and Tier 2 National Bound Boys and Girls teams at the U14-U19 Levels.
